About Our Teas:

We purchase our teas from National and International Tea Suppliers. Some teas arrive pre-packaged and some teas, our loose leaf teas, are purchased in bulk. We then package in house under our label. Any 'custom blend' we produce is marketed under our label.

We specialize in tea from around the world. There is a huge selection from which to choose. Some of our teas 'support' wordly causes such as The Ajiri Foundation. Ajiri returns 100%, after taxes, any profits to the Kisii community to provide educational assistance to orphans of western Kenya. In addition, the packaging of the tea is hand-made by the ladies of Kisii region. Sales of the tea supports the farmers, employs women, and pays school costs for the orphans. 9 Lives Tea House is proud to offer Ajiri Tea and support this project.

In addition - Ajiri Coffee, ground and whole bean, is the only tea 9 Lives Tea House offers.

Where do your teas come from?

We have importers within the US and International suppliers that we purchase from. We try to stay up on the latest harvests and blends. We will be attending 2013 World of Tea Conference in Las Vegas in June and will be testing and tasting the latest and greatest. We will let you know what we were able to procure at the conference. Our newsletter members will be notified first and first refusal of our newest additions.

Is Loose Leaf or Bagged Better?

Great question! Our bagged tea is just our loose leaf in the bags for your convenience. Not everyone likes to mess with handling the loose leaf teas so we like to make both available. It is simply a matter of preference. In many cases, we can bag your loose tea for you upon request.

Is your tea really better than grocery store brands?

Well - I would have to say 'yes'! The tea 9 Lives sells is direct from the grower, not sold in mass bulk, can be purchased according to the harvest, region, custom blend, and so on. Our tea has had minimal handling and is fresher. We also supply Organic and Fair Trade tea selections. Our varieties come and go quickly and are offered in limited supplies - usually. Once you have tried our selections, I think you will find it hard to go back to bulk produced teas.

Are your teas 'REALLY' from the listed regions?

Absolutely! Each region produces a different product. For those familiar with Sri Lanka Teas vs. Japanese Teas, it will be obvious the regional influence. Some of our blends may combine these varieties for a unique and special flavor.

Shipping Questions:

What shippers do you use and can we chose?

We, in most cases, use USPS to ship our packages. We also use Fed Ex and UPS. The choice is ours and we will let you know how and when your selection has been shipped. We ship with tracking and insurance. All of our shipping is free. Our normal shipping days are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but we try and ship your order within 48 hours. We do not ship on Saturday because we do not have service here in Aubrey.

Is my shipment insured or is that an extra charge?

We ship all of our packages with full insurance. If your package arrives damaged in any way, we will file a claim for you. Your responsibility is to either return the package to the Post Office or allow for FedEx or UPS to pick up the damaged package. At that point, we will refund or reship your order.

Problems:

My order arrived but were the wrong items.

Contact us immediately upon your order arriving. We will be happy to supply a return label for the wrong item and ship the correct item out immediately.

My order arrived damaged.

That would be awful and we insure all of our shipments. We will be happy to replace your order, if possible, if not, for example, with our antique and collectibles, your item will need to be returned to the shipper. If UPS or Fedex, we will call for a pick-up, if USPS, your item will need to be returned to the Post Office. We will handle all claims and your account will be refunded or your order replaced.

I have not received my item yet?

We ship everything with tracking numbers. You and we will follow the package to its arrival. If it is lost in shipment, we will address this with the shipper and your order will either be replaced or refunded.

I don't like the Tea Flavor I ordered. Can I return it?

In this case, unfortunately, as a food item, once it is shipped we cannot accept it back to our warehouse. Even if it a pre-packaged item  and unopened, we will not be able to accept a return. Contact us directly and we may be able to point you in a better direction for your next Tea selection. Or, ask us for a sample first. Contact us directly either by phone, email, or text.

About Our Collectibles:

Where do you find your Antiques?

Our items are found at estate sales, auctions, and through private collections. We have been longtime purchasers and have our favorite auction houses or resellers to deal with. If you are looking for something specific and don't see it listed, email us with your request. I may have it and have not listed it yet or may know where I can look.

Do you have multiple items of the listed collectibles?

In most cases, the answer would be 'no'. In some cases though, we are able to purchase two or three of the same item. That is not very often though and once the item is gone, that will be it. If one gets away from you, contact me and if I can locate another one for you I will do my best in getting it purchased. If we do have multiple items of the same collection, you will receive the one in the photo provided in the listing.

Do you guarantee the authenticity of your collectibles?

All of our collectibles are listed as they were purchased. I am pretty good at spotting reproductions and try not to purchase those items. If we do, I will list them as 'reproductions'. However, we do have a complete satisfaction guarantee policy and if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, contact us and we will arrange return shipping and we will refund your purchase. We have operated our eBay store this way for 7 years and it has worked out well.

What is the best way to reach you?

The best way to reach us is by phone, email, or text messaging. Our office times are 8:00 to 5:00 Central Time Zone. We will be adding twitter in the future, but we haven't set up an account yet. If your call goes to voice mail, please leave a detailed message and don't forget a return number. We will return your call within 48 hours in most cases.

About Our Gems & Crystals:

Are your gems and crystals genuine?

Absolutely! We purchase out collection from reliable sources, resellers, gem houses, and private cutters. We include a certificate of origination, name, and the gem or stones' unique earth qualities. If however you find we have made an error in our classification, please contact us immediately and we will arrange return shipping and you may have a complete refund.

What do your mean, 'you will cleanse the stones'?

In the years I have collected and worked with gems and mineral stones, the crystals and gems have properties that absorb energy surrounding them in whatever environment they were stored. When we get our stones in, I cleanse them using natural materials such as rice, earth, or another stone to remove any concentrated negative energy stored in the specimen. I use my Reiki training to further remove any remaining energy before we list the specimen on the web site. Our crystals and gems come to you ready to charge or dedicate as you would like.

What does it mean 'to charge my crystal or gemstone'?

Our earth has provided us with many special specimens of gemstones and crystals. Once cleaned, the specimen is ready to be 'dedicated' for its new purpose. We call this 'charging' the stone. Each stone has a special quality assigned to it and is used to cleanse a room from negative energy to soothing a troubled mind and aiding in a sound sleep. The choices are endless. I can charge your stone before shipping or you can do it yourself. All that it requires is holding the stone and stating the purpose for owning it. An example would be, 'I dedicate this (name stone) to removing the negative energies preventing me from (state the need). We will send along an instruction sheet for your specific stone or gem. As your stone absorbs the blocking energies, it will need to be cleaned again and rededicated during its lifetime. We can help you to do this yourself or I can do it for you, whatever you prefer.

Is it better to purchase a raw stone or a cut crystal?

I, personally, prefer to own my stones in their raw state. The less manipulation the better. However, who doesn't like owning a well-cut diamond or sapphire? In this case, the process is the same, first clean the stone and then dedicate it and repeat this process often for best results.

Are your gemstones and crystals real?

Yes they are! I purchase from a numerous sources that I trust and we have in-house testing equipment to verify our stones. We send along a certification of the name, the weight, and any carat or cut information as it would apply.

Do you take special orders or requests?

Yes we do. I own several cut and uncut gemstones that are not listed. If there is a particular combination of metals and gemstones and don't see them listed in our store, contact me and I can usually accommodate your special or custom requests. If you see a particular necklace in yellow gold but would prefer white gold, contact me and I can usually make the change.

Special Requests & Quantity Orders:

Can I make specially built or packaging Gift requests?

    Yes! We want your order to be just as you would like. We may be constricted by quantity available or available packing materials, but we would be happy to build it the way you want it. Our items are  NOT pre-packaged and are only assembled when we receive your order. The best way to reach us is by email, phone, or text.

What if I am needing a quantity order?

 Absolutely! We will be restricted by the specialty items listed, but if you want us to assemble several like or similar gift packages, we will do our best to accomodate that order. We may not have certain items in quantity in stock and they will need to be ordered. We do not hold a large inventory due to limited space. It is best to give us a good lead time in order to get those together. With special orders, it is best to contact us directly before placing your order.

Do you give Business to Business Discounts?

Yes we can do that! If you have a valid Business Resale License for your state, we will be happy to apply a courtesy discount to your order. Please let us know and provide a copy of your resale license for our files.
